The 'skin' is extremely difficult to apply, as everything is a 'sticker'. In order to properly apply it to your device, you need to constantly wet your fingers. You also need to heat any elements not sticking properly to the device with a hair dryer. The 'skin' comes in multiple pieces and need to be stuck onto the device in different sections. The serial number, control labels, and power light get covered by the 'skin' unless modified.
The skin is silver in color, not black or transparent as pictured.
Now the good:
The skin does provide an element of protection to the device, but does not fully cover it. It does do a good job of not covering up anything 'major' (buttons, inputs, 'heat ports'). The screen protector is a good fit and is normal in difficulty to apply.
My final opinion:
The product is not quite what I expected, but does provide some protection. Very difficult to apply. Would have given 2 stars, but hoping the 'Lifetime Replacement' has an element of truth accounting for the 3rd star.
