I first bought a Pogo and a Boxwave stylus and it worked well but the feeling of it when writing on the iPad was odd. So I read reviews online and found the AYL slim stylus and it is night and day compared with the other stylus pens. The AYL slim is more comfortable, more precise, longer, thinner and much smoother then the other pens that I have tried. I highly recommend it and have bought both the black and silver color for my family.

The AYL (TM) Capacitive stylus pen works on all capacitive touch screens. This is the Latest and Newest Design in the market which is longer, skinnier, and easier to control and use.The dimensions are 5.06 in length, and the diameter of the capacitive rubber tip is no bigger than 1/2" for improved and better accuracy. The rubber tip is durable and soft which will not scratch the screen.A removable tether is included with the stylus pen, which can be attached to the iPad by plugging it in the earphone jack, to carry the stylus pen with ease. The AYL (TM) Capacitive stylus pen is perfectly sized and shaped, and is designed to feel like a pen in the hand. Most people who purchase the iPad can start using their fingers right away to access the touch screen capabilities of the device. However, there are several reasons and advantages that you would want to use an iPad capacitive stylus pen: * Touch screensget dirty quickly when fingers are used on them, especially children's fingers!* Allows finer motor control, improving note-taking and sketching/drawing ability.* Many people find it easier to use touch screen keypads and buttons using a stylus as a finger substitute.* It doesn't cost a lot to purchase a capacitive stylus pen, and it can allow you to use the iPad in new and creative ways.

Ok.... first let me say, I am still *new* to the whole "touch-screen" generation. I just recently got an Android Smartphone (touch screen). I do not have the slimmest fingers. Every time I "typed" or "swyped" using my finger, I was off a digit/number or two. I knew I needed a stylus - not only because of my chubby fingers, but because I'd rather have a pen-like device to write with. It's cleaner.
So I headed on over to Best Buy, only to find that they only carried ((1)) stylus (the Targus Stylus for Ipad) that was capacitive. I bought it, only to find that the tip of that stylus is just as wide, if not wider, than my own finger! What a disappointment. This was the best they could do? I would have preferred to use the Nintendo DS stylus', but they're not "capacitive" so they don't work with my LG Optimus phone. :(
I came on here in search of a stylus that had a fine tip (or at least a tip smaller than my finger!) I am disappointed that they do not make a tip that is similar to that of a pen in capacitive form (or at least, I couldn't find it) BUT - I am delighted to say that this stylus tip is indeed smaller and does what I need it to do. I like that it is long and sleek like a pen, and I especially love that the tip is "finer" than the standard stylus tip. My only complaint is that it's a little spongey when pressing down, so you do have to press a little more firmly... but then I checked the Targus stylus and it's the same with that one too (so that's just how they make capacitive stylus' I guess).
I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something a little more streamlined than their fingertip! Until they make a capacitive stylus tip that is essentially the width of a pen tip.... this is definitely a great one currently on the market. I will be uploading several pictures that I took to demonstrate the comparative size of this stylus next to a Targus stylus, and one of those pics also includes a pen with a medium point. Hope this helps someone!!!
