(More customer reviews)Firstly let me say I love my Archos 101. It is an incredible media device period. I use it for reading eBooks, watching movies, web browsing and playing the occasional game. The only down side is that it's a fingerprint factory and reflects external images like a mirror. Viewing In the dark is awesome, any other time you are looking an image of yourself or a light source superimposed over the screen. Lexerd TrueVue Anti-Glare Screen Protector comes to the rescue. Installation was simple and straight forward (although some people might appreciate detailed instructions). After application you discover that the protector is about 1.5mm shorter than your screen (by design?) which leaves a small section of your screen unprotected. I suggest you install the protector flush against the side with the software buttons as this is where you will spend a lot of time touching your screen.
Once installed, the screen protector softens the screen a bit, but the lessening of outside reflections is dramatic. My wife also has a 101 so I can do side by side comparison, the sacrifice of a little image sharpness is worth lessening all those outside reflections. Next, this product will not eliminate fingerprints but it does make them less visible and easier to clean off at the end of the day (cleaning the Archos screen is hell). If you are buying an Archos 101, order this product and install it the day you open your Archos, you won't regret it!
I have tried some other screen protectors (Skinome which is also a really good product) but factoring in lack of glare reduction and complication of installation the TrueVue Anti-Glare Screen Protector wins.
The only reason this product did not get a 5 out of 5 is due to lack of documentation and it being a bit too small.
