Got it last week and applied a small patch to the back of the Archos, initially looked horrible, bubbles etc. Put it away and just thought bad luck. I pulled out the Archos this morning (1 week later) and the bubbles have gone and the skin looks great!, also feels great. Hence patience, try smaller patches until your comfortable leading up to the screen. But otherwise I think this is a great product and worth the investment in protect my Archos Pad.

(More customer reviews)very best screen protector I've ever used! Application was a bit different from others, owing to liquid that comes with protector and is applied to it prior to installing. I was a bit concerned after I put the protector on, because it looked like I may have had a bubble or scratch in one small area and I couldn't get rid of it. Peeled the protector back, applied a small shot of the liquid, reapplied it...and the mark was still there. But when it was dry the next day, the "blemish" was gone. Appears to be sturdy. Very easy to clean, although it really doesn't show fingerprints. I'm very pleased!

(More customer reviews)I will admit, like the other reviewers, I was disappointed. I read the instructions, cleaned the screen well (no lint), and applied the wet adhesive onto the skin, and then applied onto Archos. My first attempt was off-alignment, so I re-adjusted (very sticky) and then laid it down. The area where my 1st attempt did not look very good, and I was disappointed, plus there were some air bubbles. I waited 5 hours and the touchscreen was a bit erratic. I waited 24 hours and the touchscreen was much better. Then after 3 days the air bubbles were gone, and the touchscreen was like original.
Yes, the longest dimension is about 0.1" too short. The height dimension is perfect.
The best part of this skin is that it very resistant to fingerprints. I used the Archos 101 for 3 weeks without a skin, and it really attracts fingerprints. I would go on to say that this skin is oleo-phobic (resists greasy marks).
I will contact Skinomi, and see if they have fixed the dimension issue.
Update: I contacted Skinomi (yes, a REAL person answered!), and mentioned that the dimension was off about 2mm in the long dimension. She said she was not sure that if it was ever corrected, but was happy to send the latest version to me (free of charge). I received it two days later, and checked the dimension, and it was CORRECT! so I guess they realized their mistake. Will apply new skin today.

(More customer reviews)The Archos 5 is perfect for an acetate screen protector like the Skinomi, because its screen is a flat surface with no openings, buttons, cutouts, or other things that would complicate the application process. So once the protector is down and in place, that's it. I was initially a little apprehensive about the Skinomi because I'd never applied a protector "wet" - both your fingertips and the protector need to be moistened with the included solution ahead of time. This turned out to be fine, and the included squeegee card was useful in pushing excess solution to the side of the unit, where I soaked it up with a lint-free cloth. One day later, the protector was dry, clear, and secure. It dulls the sensitivity of the touch interface, but only slightly, and to me it's a good tradeoff for protecting the screen from scratches. One improvement Skinomi can make is to make the squeegee card out of soft rubber (like ZAGG) rather than laminated cardboard. Recommended.
